Join us at the closing reception of the 2012 Bok Kai Art Exhibit on Friday, February 24th from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council Gallery, 624 E Street in Marysville. Mingle with the exhibiting artists and watch Lily Emmolo perform a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and water dance at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Free admission for the duration of the exhibit.

Festivities start at 10:00 a.m. at D St. - Historic Downtown Marysville
For one hundred and thirty-two years The Chinese community and the City of Marysville have been honoring the Chinese Water God with a festival and parade. The Bok Kai Temple is a historical site that brings hundreds of worshipers each year hoping for a bountiful harvest. On the day of the parade the 175 foot Dragon works his way down the parade route to end at the temple with hundreds of firer crackers going off.
18,000 attendees expected.
