Criteria for Displaying Artists

  1. All artwork must be ready to hang and/or display.
  2. Expenses related to reception refreshments, programming, and mailing of postcards beyond Yuba Sutter Arts (YSA) mailing list are the responsibility of the artist.
  3. YSA will offer design and printing of the postcard invitation and wall labels at no charge. If artist chooses to design the card, our bulk mail permit is available for mailing. All mailings regarding exhibit must have final approval of YSA Executive Director prior to printing and mailing.
  4. The artist must provide three jpg images to YSA for display on YSA’s Artist Directory on the YSA website. All information pertaining to the images (title, medium, dimension, price and date completed) must be included, along with a text document of the artist’s statement and biography.
  5. Each individual art piece must be titled or identified. Additionally, YSA will provide a checklist with medium(s), date, dimensions, price and any other information related to each individual art piece to be completed by the artist.
  6. YSA will exercise due care and caution in exhibiting artwork, however the artist assumes all risk for loss, damage, destruction, or theft of any and all of his/her work displayed during this exhibit.
  7. Artist must display their artwork in accordance with the Gallery Guidelines.
  8. Artist must have current membership with YSA.
  9. All monies for sales of artwork during the show are payable to YSA and subject to current sales tax. A 30% commission fee will be deducted by YSA. Any additional costs incurred by YSA will be deducted from net proceeds. Proceeds from show sales will be issued to the artist by check from YSA within 10 business days of show closing date.
  10. Artist is solely responsible for the transportation of all items of his/her work to and from the exhibit location.

Yuba Sutter Arts reserves the right to remove any piece(s) that are deemed inappropriate for public display at the YSA Gallery.
