Hometown Legend, Pinkie Rideau, Returns to Marysville Local Favorite Blues Singer to Perform at the Burrows Center for the Arts

Pinkie Rideau is no stranger to Yuba-Sutter music fans. She is known for her flair and unique style and sings songs that make you want to get up and dance. Pinkie Rideau and her Rockin’ Souls Trio are ready to perform for her hometown crowd! Marysville High School and Yuba College are invited to come out on Friday September 27th and celebrate her own kind of homecoming! The concert will be held as part of the ”4th Fridays at the Burrows” series at the Burrows Center for the Arts, 630 E Street in Marysville.  Doors open at 6:30 pm and the concert starts at 7 pm. All tickets are $25 general admission. 

Pinkie Rideau is an award-winning contemporary blues musician, writer, producer, vocalist, and philanthropist. She has overcome more than her share of medical problems and heartbreaking family loss, which informs her music and helps her connect on many levels with just about everyone. Pinkie has been performing professionally since 1982, concentrating her efforts in the Sacramento area. She has always leaned towards the blues as a genre for its essence and variety and has a writing style that sets her apart. She brings a whimsical sassiness to her performances that everyone can relate to. Whether she’s begging for forgiveness in “The River” or laying out a plain request in “Booty Call,” you always know what she’s singing about and will want to sing along. Pinkie says she can’t imagine what is next in life because she has already done everything she has always wanted to do, and things just keep getting better! Pinkie believes in giving back and has helped organize fundraiser events for various charities. Her music has captured the attention and support of various prestigious blues societies and organizations and is a recent inductee into the Sacramento Blues Society Hall of Fame.

Her whimsical sassiness sets her apart and displays a writing style that resonates with both people who can relate and enthusiasts who have been admiring her work for years. A dedicated vocalist, her songs have a plainness that makes you feel as if her stories are being told to you personally and with utmost sincerity. Her accolades and successes showcase how deserving she is of respect and recognition, as well as how she has widened the relevance and reach of blues music throughout her career.
