Center Stage Productions was started with the vision to give youth in the Yuba-Sutter area an opportunity to participate in full stage musicals in their local community. One goal for our company is to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for youth. Through workshops and productions, students will learn theatre history, etiquette, as well as superstitions. They will be given opportunities to build their portfolios, have headshots done, improve their audition skills, and write a resume. Participants will be given opportunities to choreograph and direct, when appropriate, in order to gain a better understanding of what it takes to put on a show. We want participants to leave with skills that will help them further their passion for musical theatre.
In early 2022, we formed a state-of-the-art youth performing arts program called Center Stage Productions led by local professional teaching artists, Corey and Morgan Kersting. In addition to regular workshops that cover acting, choreography, and auditioning, the first two productions, “Seize the Day,” and “Seussical” have been wildly successful on all levels.
