Yuba Sutter Arts Is Looking for A Few Good Volunteers!

Yuba Sutter Arts (YSA) is on the move and needs your help.  If the arts are an important part of your life, call YSA. If you believe in arts in education, call YSA.  If you are an artist or know an artist or want to become an artist, visit YSA.

As you may know, there is a lot going on in the arts in the community and Yuba Sutter Arts is at the center of a lot of it. Its current programs include Arts in Education, Art Everywhere (managing Art Galleries throughout Yuba-Sutter), Arts in Corrections, Performing Arts, Murals of Live Oak, Veterans Arts Projects, Art Crawl, Art Party, Festival Arts Walking Head Project, Poetry Out Loud, Scholastic Writing Awards and many more.

In order to more efficiently and effectively deliver these programs, YSA especially needs more help in its office.  Are there any Excel experts out there or graphic designers?  Are there any grant writers who want to share their experience and help YSA build capacity in its programs so that it can go a little farther and a little deeper?

Outside of the office, there is a need for volunteers to go into classrooms to help promote Yuba Sutter Arts programs.  Come out and help set up one of YSA’s new art shows.  Are there any retired teachers who would like to help develop curriculum?  YSA needs help with database management, general office support, culinary arts, theater and event management including set up and take down for community events.

If you are able to volunteer for even a few hours a month, contact Yuba Sutter Arts at

530-742-ARTS or email David Read.
