5pm – 6pm | Performance by Jumping Buddha, Classical Chinese Music Ensemble The Jumping Buddha Ensemble was formed in 1997 by a group of outstanding professional musicians specializing in the traditional music of China. The Ensemble offers Chinese music demonstrations, from traditional to contemporary composition; from ensemble to instrumental solo, and uses Chinese traditional music instruments to perform adapted Western music. |

2pm – 4pm | Chinese Builders of Gold Mountain World Premiere screening of the film plus a second feature about the Chinese’ involvement in the building of the railroads. Documentary about the Chinese experience working in the gold mines including historic footage of Marysville by filmmaker Bill George will be shown during the Bok Kai festival in Marysville prior to its screening on KVIE, Sacramento Channel 6, in April. |
