ARTS COORDINATOR POSITION – FULL TIME

Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture – Arts Coordinator plans, implements, assists and manages arts programs, handling logistics, artist coordination, volunteer management, marketingevents, and community engagement to fulfill the organization’s mission, working under the Executive Director and Managing Director to boost outreach and program impact. 

Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been serving this region since 1981. We are the arts agency officially designated by Yuba and Sutter Counties as the local partner of the California Arts Council. 

The vision of Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture is for our region to experience art every day and to recognize the arts in the everyday. 

Our mission is to expand artistic awareness of and engagement in the arts, to encourage local communities to reach their full potential by developing arts programs that serve their needs, and to provide access to the arts in rural and under-served areas throughout Yuba and Sutter counties. Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture plays an essential role in our communities to ensure the highest quality and widest variety of arts and cultural activities and presentations are available for our community. 

Salary 

$34,000 to $38,000 depending on experience 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Program & Event Management: Assist with organizing art classes, workshops, exhibitions, and special events; assisting with managing logistics, schedules, and supplies.  Provide Arts in Education programming and support.  Provide art gallery support as necessary. 
  • Artist & Volunteer Coordination: Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising artists, assistants, and volunteers. 
  • Fundraising& Grant Support: Assist with grant implementation, reporting, and fundraising event execution. 
  • Marketing & Communications: Assist with managing social media, creating promotional materials, and representing the organization publicly. 
  • Administration: Provide data entry, inventory, record-keeping, and general administrative tasks. 
  • Community Engagement: Build and support relationships with partners, patrons, and donors, and develop strategies for public outreach.  
  • Miscellaneous Tasks: Not limited to running errands, providing set-up, and keeping the facilities clean for the public. 

Qualifications 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
  • Passion for the arts and our non-profit mission. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently. 
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings & weekends. 
  • College education is a plus but not required.
