Hello,
I’m interested in getting involved with the Arts Council more directly. Specifically, I’d like to speak with Liz Noonan about ways to promote her gallery, and I’d like to explore serving on the Arts Council board. In the past, I worked as a freelance writer alongside several area graphic artists and for local PR firms. I also wrote as a stringer for the Appeal-Democrat, primarily covering community events and reviewing theater productions. All of my children and I have been active in local theater over the years, and I have a strong musical and theater background.
Currently, most of my writing/editing/translation clients are based outside of Yuba-Sutter, and I have lost touch with much of the local cultural activity. My community involvement includes serving for nearly 18 years (to date) on the Sutter-Yuba Mosquito Vector Control District board of trustees. I’d love to expand on that by helping support our local arts scene.
