About

Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council was founded more than 25 years ago as a non-profit agency to serve and grow the arts in Yuba and Sutter Counties. We are the public agency designated by Yuba and Sutter Counties as the local partner with the California Arts Council. Our mission is to increase public awareness of and participation in the arts, to serve as the cultural planning agency in partnership with both counties, to encourage local communities to reach their full potential by developing arts programs that serve local needs, and to provide access to professional quality arts in under-served areas throughout Yuba and Sutter counties.

Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council plays an essential role in our communities to ensure the highest quality and widest variety of arts & cultural activities and presentations are available for our community.

  • YSRAC provides technical assistance to bring top-quality art programs to community events such as the Bok Kai Festival, Very Special Arts, and the Cultural Celebration.
  • Arts Education is a growing YSRAC program bringing performing artists to K-12 schools, offering after-school art classes on site at participating area schools. YSRAC also produces the annual Very Special Arts Festival which includes over 250 students with physical and mental disabilities who enjoy visual and performing arts activities with professional artists.
  • YSRAC offers a free, monthly e-newsletter for up-to-the-minute arts events & activities.  You can sign up for the free montly e-newsletter of arts events by adding your email address to the sign-up box on the right-hand side of this page.
