Help kick off The Big Read in Yuba Sutter by reading aloud in any public place your favorite passages or poems by Poe. Go it alone or read with friends. Bus stops, Laundromats, Retail Shops, Gas Stations. You pick the places!
From Sept. 28 to Nov. 12, The Big Read invites everyone in our two counties to read and discuss the short stories and poetry of Edgar Allan Poe, the American master of the macabre, inventor of the mystery & Sci Fi.
Volunteer readers will receive a limited edition “Ready. Set. Poe!” button as seen at top. To volunteer, send an email to poe@yubasutterarts.org. Buttons are available to pick up at Yuba County Library, Sutter County Library and the Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council office.
