Ten years ago, Bert Hepster of ”Sound Attitude” in Yuba City came together with the Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council (YSRAC) to create the Friday Night Film Series. The events were a huge success, with people coming from as far as Sacramento and Chico to participate. After numerous requests to reinstate the events, Friday Night Films will soon be up and running again. Hepster explains that anything that can entertain adults and children alike, in a town without a lot of options for family-friendly fun, is definitely a good thing. He says, “You can go anywhere to see mainstream movies. I want to shed light on movies that aren’t usually presented in public – ones that have been neglected, overlooked, and misunderstood.”
